We pack a lot of coffee and wine into this awesome half-day Margaret River tour! You’ll experience the incredible smells, stories and sights of the Koffee Baron’s worldwide quest to find the best coffee beans, which he roasts just south of Margaret River. Then onto two stellar wineries to taste the famous Margaret River cabernets, chardonnays and signature sauvignon blanc semillon blends.
This tour is perfect if you’re pressed for time but still want to see and taste the best of Margaret River.
But first, coffee.
Kick start the day with caffeine at Yahava Koffee Works. The marvellous, adventurous people at Yahava are truly passionate about coffee.
Coffee fanatic Alex Kok (aka the Koffee Baron) traveled to the world’s great coffee growing regions by motorbike searching for the very best of the best coffees. He shipped green beans back to Western Australia where he would roast the coffee to perfection, carefully grinding and then brewing the most sensational coffees.
Now it’s your turn to sample the Koffee Baron’s famous beans, sourced from all over the globe; Brazil, Mexico, Peru and beyond. We may meet the Baron or a trusted member of his team, and they’ll take us through a tasting of their range.
A visit to Yahava? The best caffeine kick-start to your day!
Next up, wineries!
Margaret River Wine Tasting
Following on from Yahava we visit two wineries, sampling some incredible wines from respected and award-winning wineries.
We’re really spoilt for choice with many sensational wineries in the Margaret River region, so we handpick a few we think you’ll love best. They all offer a fantastic cellar door experience as well as delicious, great value wines and spectacular vineyards.
Redgate Winery is one of the region’s most underrated wineries. You’ll love their friendly team, charming cellar door experience and the excellent quality wines.
Watershed is an impressive winery with a fantastic range of wines to suit any budget. Have your camera ready – the spectacular view rivals the award-winning wine!
McHenry Hohnen is funky cellar door fronting a biodynamic winery and Margaret River Farm House; pick up some delicious smoked cold meats and a bottle of wine for a picnic lunch.
Stella Bella rates ‘5 Red Stars’ with James’s Halliday yet they don’t take themselves too seriously. It’s a boutique winery with vines surrounded by majestic Karri trees.
