Unveiling McLeod Tours’ new brand

A new brand to reflect our growing team and family business

We’re excited to unveil the McLeod Tours new brand today. Lincoln and Jon are doing a marvellous job guiding tours – alongside Neil, so it made sense to us to change the name from Margaret River with Neil McLeod. The new logo brings together our family’s rich heritage and the diverse offerings of this beautiful region. Importantly, our ethos remains the same; we get so much joy from showing you parts of Margaret River you haven’t seen before, and we will continue to give 110% to ensure you have the best experience possible.

Our history

McLeod Tours have been operating in one form or another for 30 years. Firstly, in Exmouth and since 2005 in Neil’s home town of Margaret River where we started Margaret River with Neil McLeod.

You might even say tourism was in Neil’s blood from the very start – as well as running the McLeod family farm, Neil’s father Dudley worked as a caves guide at the now-famous Lake and Mammoth Caves and helped establish the Margaret River Tourist Bureau, while his mother, Bernice, worked at the Margaret River Hotel, built by Neil’s Grandfather Bernard McKeown in 1936 and run by the family for 36 years.

McLeod Tours – our new name and brand

We’re really grateful to have a terrific team all working together on our tours. Neil still guides many of our tours, but with Lincoln and Jon also sharing tour guide responsibilities it made sense to update our name from ‘Margaret River with Neil McLeod’ to McLeod Tours.

Our talented daughter in law Claire McLeod, graphic designer, helped create our new brand and logo. She has cleverly woven together many threads of our family history in Margaret River; the traditional Scottish McLeod crest and motto Hold Fast, the bull to represent our dairy farming roots, the wineries and breweries which helped put Margaret River on the map, and the beloved kangaroo and horse – a link to our farm.

The McLeod family is proud to be part of the Margaret River community since 1902.

Our Team – stronger than ever and ready to serve

Neil continues to take tours full time, and he really loves what he does; sharing his beloved Margaret River and his own history growing up on the family farm. The name may be changing, but the original McLeod tour guide is still wearing the same Akubra hat. When he isn’t driving a bus he enjoys watching AFL or horse riding around the farm.

Coralie manages all the bookings and logistics, and bakes the delicious cakes for the Kangaroo Safari. Coralie won’t rest until she’s sure that everything is organised, ready for another successful tour. She is mum to 4 amazing boys – and now she has been blessed with 2 granddaughters.

Lincoln, our youngest son, recently joined us as a tour guide. He plays football and tennis and loves photography and fishing. Lincoln takes most of our social media photos and many of the photos on this website. He has a huge amount of energy and passion for McLeod Tours and Margaret River.

Jon has just celebrated 5 years working for us as a tour guide – congratulations Jon! He’s super friendly, loves his job and always makes sure guests have a great day out. Jon lives in Margaret River with his young family and wife Kumi, who works part-time in our office.
