Our tour guides are friendly and approachable, and they love to share their favourite Margaret River experiences. Either Jon, Neil or Lincoln will guide you, and they look forward to meeting you!

Lunch at Cowaramup Brewery

We pick you up from the Margaret River Visitor Centre or your accommodation if you’re staying close to town.

The tour starts with lunch and a cheeky pint at Cowaramup Brewery, a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy a delicious lunch and a local beer or wine. You can savour their award winning craft beer with a tasting paddle, or choose your favourite beer. If wine is your preference, there are lovely local whites, reds and a sparkling wine to choose from.

Traditional Margherita Pizza (V) – Fresh tomato & Egmont cheese with cracked pepper on a Napolitano sauce base garnished with shaved parmesan & basil.
Spinach, Leak & Goat’s Cheese Tart (V) – Served with a garden salad and Dijon mustard dressing.
V ~ Vegetarian
You will also be served with a complimentary glass of beer or wine with your lunch.

Margaret River Wine Tasting

After lunch it’s time to visit a couple of the wineries that helped put Margaret River on the map.

Margaret River produces only 2% of Australia’s wine, but around 20% of Australia’s premium product. While we’re best known for Cabernet, Chardonnay and the iconic Margaret River “SBS & SSB blends” you’ll have the chance to sample many other quality varietals too.

During the afternoon touring you’ll visit two boutique wineries where cellar door staff will guide you through some superb Margaret River wines. A few of our favourites for the Half Day Tour include Adinfern, Brookwood Estate, Churchview, Tassell Park, Howard Park, Hay Shed Hill, Knotting Hill, Ashbrook and Cape Grace.

Luscious Local Produce, Sensational Sea Views

The afternoon continues with some sensational local produce including chocolate from the much-loved Margaret River Chocolate Company. We taste cheese at the Margaret River Dairy Company and olive oil, balsamic vinegar and condiments at either Ollio Bello or Pukara Estate.

Throughout the day you’ll also appreciate the incredible natural beauty of Margaret River’s lush forests, rolling hills and opulent vineyards. It’s one of Australia’s most stunning wine regions. We drive along winding roads through natural Australian bush, you’ll also spy karri trees and possibly some kangaroos. The tour finishes when we drop you back safely to your accommodation at the end of the day

We’ll pick you up

Pick-ups are mainly from the car park of the Margaret River Visitor Centre. Please arrive five minutes early and wait near the back door.

Pick-ups from Prevelly and Gnarabup and anywhere within a 10km radius of Margaret River town can be pre-arranged. Sorry no pick-ups further than 10 km from town. If you’re unsure please check by phoning 08 9757 2747 or emailing before booking.

“This is a good one”

We were in Margaret River and took this tour on recommendation from where we were staying. We only took the half day tour as we were running out of time. We did the usual suspects including a couple of others. A chocolate factory, cheese factory and my favourite, the Olive Plantation. All were great but the Olive Oil varieties kept me going around and around the tasting tables for quite a while. Possibly the best part of the tour was Neil Mcloud, our tour guide. This Bloke was so full on with funny and and informative stories, he really made the day. Towards the end I think someone mentioned something about horses and we ended up at his property to check out some very lovely Arabs and Quarter horse. When we got back to our accommodation my wife mentioned off hand that she hadn’t seen many wildflowers.Well he said jump back in the bus and I’ll take you back to my place. I have a very large field of them on the property. We didn’t take him up on it but that’s the type of guy he is. Good one Neil.

“Excellent half day”

We just got back from a half day tour with Neil. I recommend if you are going to do a wine tour that you book with McLeod Tours. We had a great afternoon sight seeing as well as visiting 2 wineries, Margaret River Chocolate, cheese & olive oil tasting. Lunch was delicious at a local brewery with a bonus drink with our meal.
Neil also took us to his farm to show us his horses & some western grey kangaroos. We also went for a short walk into the bush to look at the wild flowers & kangaroo paw.
Neil gave us a few verses of “The Man From Snowy River” poem on the way home.
Neil made us all feel very welcome on the tour. He remembered each of our names & was relaxed & in no hurry at each of the places we visited.
Thank you Neil for a great avo. So glad we booked on your tour!
(Special mention for the nice clean bus, inside & out)
