The practical questions guests ask before a multi-day tour, in one place. Anything not answered here, just ask us — a real person reads every message.
Where does the tour start and finish?
Your journey begins with a pickup from your Perth CBD accommodation. Exact pickup times are confirmed a few days before departure. We’re unable to collect from suburban locations, but if you’re staying outside the city we’re happy to suggest a convenient CBD meeting point.
Luggage allowance
For comfort and space onboard, we ask each guest to bring one suitcase only. A small to medium suitcase is ideal (approx. 30cm × 45cm × 70cm). Slightly larger bags are usually fine, but we can’t accommodate multiple large bags per person. If you’re travelling with extra luggage, most Perth hotels are happy to store bags securely during your tour.
What weather can I expect in Margaret River?
Margaret River enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate with warm summers, cooler winters and refreshing coastal breezes year-round. Because we visit forests, vineyards and coastal locations, you may notice small temperature changes throughout the day.
Here’s a general guide by season.
Summer (December – February)
Warm, sunny days typically sit in the mid-20s to low-30s °C, with occasional hotter spells. Coastal sea breezes usually arrive in the afternoon, and evenings are mild but can cool slightly after sunset.
Autumn (March – May)
Autumn is mild and settled, with daytime temperatures generally between 19–25 °C and cooler mornings and evenings. The first seasonal rains often arrive during this period, bringing a fresh green tinge back to the landscape. Vintage typically runs from mid-February through mid-April, so you may see wineries in full swing.
Winter (June – August)
Cooler conditions arrive in winter, with daytime temperatures around 14–18 °C and cooler evenings. This is when most rainfall occurs, creating lush forests, flowing creeks and dramatic coastal conditions between passing fronts and clear skies.
Spring (September – November)
Spring brings fresh mornings, mild days between 17–23 °C and occasional showers. Wildflowers begin appearing across the South West, native orchids emerge, and the region feels vibrant and alive.
In short: there’s no bad time to visit Margaret River, just different moods of the same place.
