We’ve curated the ‘crème de la crème’ of Margaret River, creating the ultimate itinerary, perfect for a first time visitor looking to experience the region’s finest attractions including wineries, galleries, breweries, local produce, forests, caves and lighthouses – with the knowledge of local expert guides.
Tour Departs Sundays & Wednesdays between 6.45am – 7.20am and returns Tuesdays & Fridays respectively.

Your guide will pick you up from your city hotel in Perth CBD. Exact pickup time will be confirmed prior to tour departure.
Scenic drive from Perth through the charming seaside town of Mandurah, where we’ll take a coffee break at a café by the foreshore.
See hand crafted furniture and works of art made from beautiful local hardwoods. Hear stories of how the timber and logging industry shaped the southwest.
Stop into Busselton for a delicious lunch at this local favourite.
Leisurely walk along the famous Busselton Jetty, the longest timber pile jetty in the southern hemisphere stretching 1.8km out into picturesque Geographe Bay.
Indulge in everything CHOCOLATE! From beautiful hand made chocolate truffles to Chokka the chocolate Quokka! Taste away while exploring the amazing range of products. Or relax in the cafe with the perfect cup of coffee.
See mobs of Western Grey Kangaroos in their natural environment, and meet Neil’s friendly horses. Before settling into your accommodation we take a drive to the coast for spectacular views of world class surf breaks.
Your night will be spent in comfort at the four-star Margarets Beach Resort by the coast or similar accommodation depending on availability. Evening meal at own expense.
We make the scenic drive to coast for a tasty breakfast at one of Margaret River’s most popular cafés overlooking Gnarabup beach.
Go underground and see remains of megafauna over fifty thousand years old found at Mammoth Cave.
Drive through the Boranup Karri Forest and gaze at the awe-inspiring trees towering over 65m tall. Bring your camera as this is one of the most beautiful pockets of forest in the southwest.
Journey south to the picturesque Hamelin Bay where a jetty once stood. Built for exporting timber, this old jetty has been in ruins for many years. The Bay is now most famous for the friendly sting rays that cruise the shallow waters.
Pass through the hilltop coastal town of Augusta with views of the Blackwood River on the way to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. The lighthouse marks the point where two oceans meet; the Southern Ocean and Indian Ocean. Take a guided tour of the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia and learn what life was like for the lighthouse keepers and their families. oceans meet. Watch out for whales – southern right, humpback and blue whales can often be seen from the towers!
Enjoy a delicious lunch at the newly renovated Colour Patch overlooking the Beautiful Blackwood River.
After lunch we then visit a winery, either Redgate or Brown Hill. They are both family owned and operated and each have an incredible range of award winning wines.
Some free time in town to stroll along the main street and maybe pick-up a special memento or gift to take home.
After a full day exploring the southern end of the Margaret River region, put your feet up and relax. Evening meal at own expense.
Please meet at reception packed with your luggage ready to leave. Tour must depart on time.
After being picked up we make our way to Willow Grill to enjoy a full buffet Breakfast.
The good people at Yahava are passionate about coffee, and take us through a tasting of their range. They travel worldwide looking for the best coffee beans which are roasted in house.
We then visit a winery, either Redgate or Brown Hill. They are both family owned and operated and each have an incredible range of award winning wines.
For our second winery visit in the afternoon we offer a cheese & wine pairing. We look at matching Camembert, Smoked & Vintage Cheddars from the Margaret River Dairy Co with some of our favourite boutique wines.
Experience first hand the subtle flavours of extra virgin olive oil. Including unique citrus pressed oils and sensational infused oils. They also have an incredible range of condiments & balsamic’s. Unwind and enjoy a delicious lunch accompanied with a glass of local beer or wine.
After lunch we begin the journey back to Perth City. We usually make one or two stops to stretch the legs or enjoy a coffee.
Arrive in Perth between 6:00PM – 6:30PM.

Neil and his wife Coralie and son Lincoln operate McLeod Tours from part of the old family farm that Neil grew up on, sharing the Margaret River experience with visitors from near and far.
